Be a green tourist with Legambiente’s camps

Apply and spend a slow great eco holiday

What about a green eco holiday in Italy, taking part to some environmental camp of Legambiente?

If you want to become a volunteer in Italy, giving your concrete support to one of Legambiente’s local projects, having fun and experiencing community life, take a look at the Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations and apply through the associations based in your country. If you know some Italian, or want to learn it, you can take part in one of the national workcamps with Italian volunteers!

Get some inspiration from the experience below and don’t forget to share with Italia Slow Tour your travel diary as a tourist-volunteer in rural Italy! You could become our “Ambassador” and be our guest in your next trip to Italy…

Eco tourism in Tuscany

Read the following experience, told by the International Workcamp of Legambiente Prato:

We are a group of volunteers participating in an international workcamp in a small tuscany town called Poggio alla Malva (near to Florence).  For a group of people of all arround the world we are impressed by the italian lifestyle, specially in this little town. In this few days we have been discovering the place, getting to know the locals and the beauty of the nature and landscapes.

Here in poggio alla Malva, life runs peacefull, people are really nice, open and excited to get to know us. The grape fields and the mountains are impressive as well the healthy, biological farms and food. We’ve been paying attention to the colours, architecture and details of the town. We find this a relaxing and inspirational place to practice sports, to disconnect from the citty lifestyle.

We share our pictures and our experience with you!
